I moved to Vermont from my home state of Connecticut and quickly fell in love with the natural beauty and passion for outdoor activities that is so apparent here. I received my bachelor's degree from Roger Williams University, where I studied psychology and business management. Following my undergraduate career, I completed my graduate degree in experimental psychology from Villanova University. I have always had a passion for research, analytics, and understanding behavior, which are all important components of finance.
Emotions can drive behavior and decision making. In investing, it is important to understand this connection in order to help reduce behavior-based investment errors. By blending my passion for psychology with my passion for finance and analytics, I hope to help investors work through their investment-related emotions to best take control of their finances and minimize behavioral error.
Prior to becoming a financial advisor, I worked as a student affairs professional at multiple universities. This experience, as well as my own higher education journey, fostered a passion for helping clients plan for their families' higher education goals. I earned my Certified College Financial Consultant (CCFC) designation through the American Institute of Certified College Financial Consultants (AICCFC) to better assist clients in developing financial strategies to achieve these goals.
As a female financial advisor, I am excited to have the opportunity to work with and for women to achieve personal financial goals and overall financial success.
While in graduate school Katie developed a huge passion for running. Since then, she has completed two marathons, three half marathons, and countless "smaller" races, including Philadelphia's famous Blue Cross Broad Street 10-mile Run. She is excited at the opportunity to embrace the running culture of Vermont and participate in the Vermont City Marathon in 2023.
Since moving to Vermont, Katie has prioritized getting involved with her local community. She quickly joined the Junior League of Champlain Valley, taking an active role in support of JLCV's Diaper Bank, which provides diapers for individuals who need them across Vermont.
